Metall Comfort mini bunkers are made from high quality steel using the same manufacturing techniques as large bomb shelters.

This newly designed bunker allows to place sleeping quarters separately from the living quarters of the bomb shelter. The model “Homesteader” from our series “Silver Leaf” is ideal for a large family who values privacy while sleeping.

After entering the bunker from a nuclear explosion, you will find yourself in a residential area. If you look to the left, you will find a bathroom. There is a composting toilet, a shower, sink and a tankless water heater. Going to the right, you will enter the dining room and kitchen. The dining area has a table with benches. The kitchen has a stainless steel sink and a very spacious pantry with shelving. The pantry is large so you can store enough items to support your family for a long period of time. 2 bedrooms are located opposite the entrance to the nuclear bunker. These 2 separate bedrooms can accommodate a double bed or bunk beds. Each room also has a closet. The model is equipped with the same amenities as our upgraded 10'x 50' models.

Where can't build the bunker?

The bunker is designed to protect people during shelling and bombing. But if you install it in the wrong place, the shelter can turn into a death trap.

Mistakes when choosing a place for the bunker

The strong walls of the shelter are able to withstand the blast wave and hold the fragments. But with the wrong choice of the bunker location, unforeseen threats arise:

• Risk of flooding. You can not build shelters in places that periodically flood with water, or in the path of water flows that appear after rains. The destruction of the water supply can lead to the same consequences, so there must be a significant distance between it and the shelter.
• The threat of blocking the exit from the bunker. It is forbidden to build shelters near tall trees, buildings, poles that can fall and block the front doors.
• Risks of gas leakage from gas pipelines. This could result in a fire or gas leaking into the shelter. Therefore, it is forbidden to build shelters near the main gas pipelines.

What to do if the place for the bunker does not meet the safety requirements?

If the bunker needs to be built in the place that does not meet all the requirements for shelters, try changing its type or making changes to the standard project. For example, to protect against water, build the bunker on the surface or semi-dug in the ground. If there is a danger of blocking the entrance doors of the bunker, dig an emergency exit.
