What should be in the bunker in case of war?

During the war, the situation changes very quickly, and sometimes you have to run to the bunker, not having time to take anything with you. Therefore, it is worth preparing in advance for such events and stocking up on everything that will help you live in the shelter for a long time without going out to the surface. Strategic stocks include products, first-aid kits, clothing and inventory. The kit content depends on the purpose of the bunker and the number of residents.

The bunker for a short stay

People hide in such bunkers for a maximum of a few hours, so they prepare minimal supplies. A few bottles of water and a small supply of canned goods are left in the room. Each resident must keep his documents with him. Also leave a flashlight and a supply of batteries in the shelter.

Prepare the simplest first-aid kit with sedatives, heart remedies and drugs to lower blood pressure.

The bunker for a long stay

Such structures are designed for living in an autonomous mode for a long time, so there should be more supplies. Prepare the following in the bunker:

• Products. Water will be needed in the amount of at least 150 liters for 2 people. Take products with long-term storage, for example, canned goods and cereals.
• First aid kit. The set must include temperature and pressure measuring devices, bandages and adhesive plasters, scissors, septic tanks and cotton wool. It is also recommended to purchase cardiac drugs, pain relievers and means to restore normal stomach function. People with chronic diseases should take with them medicines that they use constantly.
• Personal protective equipment. These include items that will allow you to come to the surface to explore the situation around the bunker: gas masks or respirators, protective clothing, ankle boots or sturdy hiking shoes, a flashlight with a supply of batteries.
• Means of communication. Take a phone with a power bank and prepare a radio receiver.
• Clothing. The shelter is built without heating, because the ground does not freeze to a depth of more than 1 m. But for a comfortable stay in winter, it is better to stock up on warm clothes: underwear – insulated, designed for severe cold, socks – also warm. Pants for women are a must. Choose those in which the basis is cotton. You will also need a knitted hat and a sweater, preferably woolen.
